We're a little bit country around here. We can't hide it and frankly are pretty proud of it. For that reason, we do many things in an old fashion, country way that is also eco-friendly, sustainable and fairly easy because, let's face it, we're busy. We try to use all the means available to us and Mom keeps the pantry stocked with staples, ready to go to make some good, simple dishes that both parents and kids will like.

Without further ado, I bring to you some of our (Mom's) favorite recipes and tricks to keeping house!

Mom's Old Fashion Apple Pie

Everyone's favorite American desert - homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream! You cannot go wrong with this gem - it gets eaten up in minutes around here!
